We had a good mind to start this week’s predictions with the Broncos at Lions matchup, because We find that kind of interesting, but worry not, We know what everyone’s on the lookout for, so here goes:
The 8-0 Pats take on the 7-0 Colts in a game that’s like the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. Certainly, this game has the potential to make the Super Bowl look like an afternoon walk in the park if you ask me.
The fact that the Colts have a victory less in their portfolio so far this season is counterbalanced by the home-field advantage they’ll be enjoying. Why did I just call the Pats “the unstoppable force”? What could you possibly call a team, which has not only won all 8 of its games so far, but also covered the spread every single time?
This one is a game that will cause bookies plenty of headaches, but remember what you know about overly-popular games, and road favorites. I’m just telling you that, because the Pats are favorites in this one, and if this ain’t the most potent underdog ever, I don’t know which team could be.
Now back to the Denver at Detroit game: the Lions were quoted with chances for a 10 win season, and they look well on course of taking another step towards that. If things go well, they shall not disappoint, and they shall bag those 10 wins before the regular season’s end. With a healthy Calvin Johnson, the Lions are favorites in this one.
The 6-1 Packers will tackle the 4-3 Chiefs in KC. While KC has managed to whip Larry Johnson into shape, Green Bay has proven unstoppable on the road this season. They are not going to stop for the Chiefs either. After last week’s win over Denver, it’s probably going to take a lot more than what KC can throw at them to stop these Packers. Be on the lookout for the hidden value in this one though.
After last week’s humiliation suffered at the hands of the New England Patriots, Washington is certainly looking to exact some revenge. As it usually happens, since they can’t get even with those who inflicted the damage, they’ll settle for any other comer. Tough luck for the Jets, who haven’t exactly been thriving this season anyway (all right, that’s an understatement right there). The clear fav in this one Washington, and there are plenty of reasons to believe they’ll cover the spread too.
If you’re looking for something more even, check out the Seahawks at Browns game. These guys are so evenly matched, you need to be a star-handicapper to give an accurate prediction on this one. And then you need to be lucky too
Both these teams are in high spirits, coming off a win each, and while Cleveland’s offense looks in great shape, analysts figure a healthy Shaun Alexander will make the difference in Seattle’s favor.
Another game worthy of your attention is the Ravens at Steelers matchup. While the Steelers are favorites in this one (5-2) the 4-3 Ravens are getting back a few of their injured guys. That could make a difference in the economy of this game, so look out for the hidden value here.
