Will the Patriots still be undefeated both SU and ATS after their week 6 match-up against the Cowboys?
The Cowboys sure looked like one of the teams that could put a stick or two in the wheels of the roaring-blazing, momentum gathering wagon that the Pats have become over the past few weeks. They looked up to the task until about week ago, when they committed no less than 6 turnovers in their Monday night match-up. Now, I’m not so sure about them anymore.
Both teams are 5-0 so far, and after all dust settles, I believe it’ll be the Pats still standing undefeated. As far as the betting goes, be on the lookout though. A road favorite playing a potent home underdog can always hide some potential profit.
The Vikings will face the Bears in Chicago, and I reckon this one is a no-brainer. Not only are the Vikings 1-3 and the Bears 2-3, last week’s performance against Green Bay shows that the Bears are capable of playing well. Even though their running game still showed signs of weakness, they’ll most probably jot this one in the W column, against Minnesota.
One of the most un-interesting games this week is the Dolphins vs Browns match-up. The reason I mentioned this game in this preview at all, is that all bettors know there’s additional value on low-popularity games. Keep an eye on this one.
About the prediction: no Trent Green for Miami = the Browns win it.
A 3-1 Red Skins team will visit a surprising 4-1 Green Bay this week. Both these teams look pretty interesting, the Red Skins on an upward spiral, the Packers looking to right the wrongs that happened in the second half of their game against the Bears last week.
While they played pretty damn well in the first half then, they turned the ball over far too many times to deserve to walk away 5-0.
The 1-3 Bengals against the 2-3 Chiefs. This one will be interesting to watch. While the Bengals certainly possess the potential to beat KC on the road, they’ve been a disappointment in every respect so far in the season. They didn’t play last week, and if they used that spare time well, we may just witness the first step of their comeback in KC.
3-1 Titans vs 3-2 Buccaneers. This game will probably be one of the closest ones this week. Both teams lost their last game, but both are pretty good, regardless. I’d say the Titans if it weren’t for the home-field advantage, but this way…I’ll still say Titans by a small margin.
2-2 Raiders vs 2-3 Chargers. The Chargers finally look “charged”. After last week’s performance, they’ll probably continue with the trend.
The Saints vs the Seahawks. I’ll say Seattle, no doubt about it. I know what you’re going to say: they sucked last week right? Right. But then again, it’s impossible to remember a game in which the Saints didn’t suck this season…So, there you have it.
The Jaguars are probably going to win their home game against the Texans. Mind you though, this is by no means one in the bag for them. Until David Garrard gets used to being a starter, games like this one will have you on the edge of your seats.
