Another week of exciting playoff-indicating NFL matchups are lined
up for week 16! Thursday night’s football game features the
St. Louis Rams versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Rams are no longer
the greatest show on turf, as they’ve been struggling all
year with a staggering record of 3-11. On the other end of the turf,
Pittsburgh looks to regain a bit of momentum after two consecutive
losses. Last week, their dreams of a fourth quarter comeback were
crushed when Jacksonville followed up with a game winning drive.
Even though Pittsburgh’s play has been less than superior
as of late, the predictions still have them comfortably covering
the 7.5 point spread against the Rams this week.
This next NFL matchup is based on one of the game’s most heated
rivalries. Sparks are sure to fly whenever the Bengals and Browns
face off. While Cincinnati’s post season hopes were crushed
long ago, Cleveland is that much closer to clinching a wildcard
birth. They pulled off an amazing victory last week in horrendous,
snow-plagued conditions, beating the Buffalo Bills 8-0. The numbers
show this one to be close, with Cleveland coming in as a 3 point
pick. It looks as if this matchup will be one of the most competitive
of week 16's NFL picks.
You’ll also witness an NFL matchup of two teams heading in
totally opposite directions. The Dolphins may have eluded a 0-16
season by pulling out a victory over Baltimore last week, but things
don’t get any easier with the 14-0 Patriots coming into town
this Sunday. The predictions are in, and it’s not looking
good for the Dolphins. This game may be one of the easiest selections
of weekly NFL picks. Look for the Patriots to cover the 21.5 point
spread with ease, inching their way closer to victory.
The game to watch this coming Sunday will certainly be the Washington
Redskins going up against the smoking hot Minnesota Vikings. Both
teams are coming off of victories looking to make their way into
the post season. The difference here is that the Redskins have lost
4 out of their last 6 games, while the Vikings have stunned the
league with 5 straight victories. Adrian Peterson versus Clinton
Portis is sure to be an NFL matchup to watch, as two of the game’s
most talented running backs go at it. Both teams need a win here,
but the predictions favor Minnesota as a 7 point victors in this
one.
The Monday night matchup is another game of bad blood as AFC West
rivals square off. San Diego hosts the Denver Broncos and look to
continue their hot streak. Last Sunday, the Chargers annihilated
the Detroit Lions with a thumping 51-14 victory, their fourth straight
win which clinched the division title. Even with the recent surge,
the Broncos have been known to give the Chargers a problem, especially
with their effective plug and play rushing system. Look for this
one to be competitive with San Diego as a solid NFL pick to cover
the 8.5 point spread.
